Senior Financial Accountant position

this client is a offering a hybrid working schedule and compensation ranges pending on candidate experience. The ideal range is 90-115k base plus bonus earning potential.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Create and refine processes to adapt to large and complex transactions.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting journal entries related and other related financial reporting calculations.
- Analyze financial results and capital.
- Manage one or more in-house accountants or offshore accountants in the preparation of accounts.
- Prepare financial reporting disclosures related to business activities.
- Provide quarterly analysis of financial results.
- Participate in process improvement and automation projects.
- Determine proper accounting treatment of complex accounting transactions.
- Manage internal and external audit examinations.
- Participate in other ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
- CPA examination would be highly regarded.
- A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience.
- Knowledge and working experience with STAT or GAAP accounting principals for reinsurance/insurance companies.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
