Our client is a high growth boutique asset manager. They have doubled in size over the past 2 years and are searching their first Tax Hire!
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance: Oversee and ensure timely preparation and filing of all tax returns for the fund and its portfolio companies, including federal, state, and local taxes.
- Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- K-1 Preparation: Manage the preparation and distribution of K-1 statements for partners and investors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including finance, accounting, and legal, to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions.
- Audit Support: Manage and coordinate tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Reporting: Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions and ensure proper documentation and support are maintained.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or advanced degree in taxation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably within the private equity or big 4 industry.
