Oliver James have partnered with a highly reputable non-life insurance firm to appoint a Risk Manager into the business in a newly created position.
This position will report into the Chief Risk Officer and sit on an existing team of three and be responsible for the ongoing development and production of core risk management processes such as delivering ERM framework including the ORSA, Risk Appetite and recovery and resolution planning.
The successful candidate can expect a varied day-to-day including but not limited to the following responsibilities;
Continuously implement a top-tier risk assessment process, ensuring an assurance-driven approach to evaluating key risks and the related control frameworks.
Ongoing enhancement of the risk policy framework, including the risk appetite and the creation of relevant risk indicators.
Provide support in overseeing Solvency II production and reporting.
- Lead the preparation of the ORSA report and its individual components within the ORSA process.
Oversee the development of the Recovery and Resolution planning process.
Produce high-quality reports for the Executive Management Team, Risk Committee, and Board of Directors.
Support Central Bank of Ireland inspections or risk assessments related to risk activities.
Represent the Risk function in various forums and committees.
Candidates with a strong background within risk management and/or audit from a financial services background are encouraged to apply. A deep understanding within the insurance industry is highly advantageous.
The successful candidate can expect a very competitive salary and remuneration package and will be expected to be on-site 3 days per week in our clients Dublin City Centre office.
