This are your responsibilities

With its own portfolio worth around €30 billion, our client is one of the larger insurance companies in the Netherlands. Unique for the Dutch market, the company focuses on private assets. To manage these assets, they are looking for an experienced Investment Risk Manager.

You will be part of the Investment Risk Management team and report to the manager Investment Risk. This team is part of Risk Management within the CRO domain. The Investment Risk Management team is responsible for the investment-oriented parts of the risk management function (one of the Solvency 2 functions). The Investment Risk Management team consists of 7 experienced professionals who together carry out a broad spectrum of risk management activities. These often have a financial risk component and are usually also characterized by the required tact and consultancy approach of your advice to the management or to the risk committees.

The Investment Risk Manager has several tasks/responsibilities:

Assess new investment proposals from the Investment Office, provide them with advice and present conclusions to the relevant committee;
Monitor the investment risks, specifically for the Private Asset portfolio;
Support the valuation oversight for the Private Asset portfolio;
Ensuring the investment and financial risk related policies remain up to date;
Is involved in strategic investment decisions, such as Strategic Asset Allocation and Tactical Asset Allocation.

This is you

You have a MSc in Economics, Econometrics or related field of study with quantitative orientation;
You have A deep knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
Knowledge of Private Assets is a huge plus or Credit Risk Management experience within a bank.
You have around 3 years of relevant credit risk experience, preferably in a position within a bank, an investment institution, insurer, consultancy or within a financial risk management domain;
You have excellent stakeholder management skills;
You carry a proactive attitude;
Good communication skills in English is a must, Dutch is preferred.
