Our client, a leading company in the insurance industry, is currently seeking a Finance Manager to join their Finance department on a contract basis. The extend option is given.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform daily finance operations, reconciliations, and period-end reporting in accordance with the reporting time line.
- Prepare timely, accurate and comprehensive analysis of budgets and monthly/quarterly results and forecasts to support management decisions and ensure the revenue and expenses are on track.
- Act as a liaison with budget supervisors, and manage the annual planning and budgeting process to ensure that the overall financial goals are met.
- Work on producing accounting technical papers for key accounting decisions.
- Build out of new operating model, procedures and control framework for the investments finance function.
- Prepare FRR regulatory reporting and handle ad hoc requests from the management.
- Liaise with fund administrators to handle full sets of financial statements independently.
- Liaise with auditors or tax advisors for the annual audit, SFC regulatory filings and tax filings; and complete and submit annual SFC asset and wealth management activities survey.
Job Requirements
- University graduate in in Finance, Accounting and Business Administration or related disciplines.
- Qualified CPA with experience in financial services industry preferable in asset and wealth management sector.
- Experience in liaising with auditors and SFC regulatory filing are required.
- Investment accounting experience is an advantage.
- Computer skills particularly advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Immediately available is preferable.
