I am currently working with a client of mine based in Dublin city centre. They operate within the legal sector here in Ireland and have an extensive IT function in the business. This is a brand new role that will operate within the Operational team reporting into the IT and Applications manager.
The role will involve both BAU and project responsibilities and will act as an escalation point for the large help desk team that are based in Dublin. You will work as part of a 5 person senior IT team dealing with internal IT queries. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the following areas.
Technical Skills
- Provide technical support for all end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
- Install and configure computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies
Key Skills
- Strong technical knowledge in hardware, software, and peripheral troubleshooting
- Experience in installing and configuring computer systems and peripherals
- Good understanding of networking principles
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks
