Tester/Business Analyst - Asset Reliability / Manchester Hybrid

We are looking for a Tester/Business Analyst to join our small, dynamic IS team at within our client, supporting the growth of our technology landscape. You will work closely with engineers to ensure the quality and functionality of applications that process engineering data, contributing to asset reliability and reducing maintenance costs for clients.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to gather requirements.
• Design and execute test plans, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like pytest and Playwright.
• Identify and resolve software defects with developers.
• Analyse test results and report findings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and research new tools.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a software tester, with knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and testing skills.
• Experience with automated testing tools (pytest, Playwright).
• Background in engineering, mathematics, or similar fields.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
