Test Analyst (BI/ SQL/ Data)
Location : Warrington - Hybrid
Salary : 35-44,000 plus bonus + benefits
We're looking for either a Test Analyst or BI Analyst to join an industry leading organisation in a newly created role. This position would focus on testing the quality and validation of the organisations Business Intelligence environment.
Having recently gone through a large digital transformation towards Azure, their Business Intelligence team is now expanding even further. In this data rich environment, the BI team is integral to the organisations overall strategy and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop and document detailed test cases, test scripts and test plans based on business requirements
- Data Validation : to perform thorough testing of the data to ensure accuracy and integrity. This could include validating data sources, transformation processes or data outputs
- Data Quality Assurance
- Data Comparison & Reconciliation - ensuring data between systems and applications is consistent and secure
- Work closely with other departments to ensure stakeholders understand data issues
- Validate the performance of data pipelines, ETL processes and databases queries
This is a fantastic environment to develop your knowledge and skills in a technology first function, using the latest data engineering technologies in a cloud first environment (Azure)
We're looking for someone with a transferable background who would like to progress into this role. Either;
- A Tester who has a good foundation in SQL and understands the importance & complexity of Data passing through systems
- A BI Analyst / Developer who is used to Data Quality and validating reports / visualisations.
