Job Opportunity: Senior Delegated Authority Operations Analyst

Location: London - Hybrid

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Delegated Authority Operations Analyst to support the successful implementation of the Delegated Authority (DA) strategy. This role will focus on providing high-quality support to Underwriters, ensuring comprehensive due diligence, and managing audits to ensure compliance with the company's DA framework. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting internal teams and stakeholders to manage delegated authority arrangements effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Underwriters and other stakeholders by ensuring thorough due diligence and ongoing monitoring of new and existing delegated authorities (Binding Authorities, Lineslips, Consortiums, and Delegated Claims Administrators).
  • Implement and manage the annual audit programme for Coverholders and DCAs in line with the audit policy.
  • Prepare governance and performance reports, including KPIs, related to delegated authority arrangements.
  • Assist in the review process for Binding Authorities, Lineslips, Consortiums, and DCAs.
  • Produce regulatory and Lloyd's returns, ensuring compliance with market thematic reviews.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business units, particularly Underwriting teams.
  • Attend relevant forums, seminars, and workshops related to Delegated Authority.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit reviews and provide support on ad hoc DA projects.
  • Assist with the oversight of outsourced resources related to bordereaux data capture and management.

Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a Delegated Authority role within the insurance industry, ideally within the Lloyd's market.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong due diligence and investigative skills.
  • Strong analytical, written, and communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Proficient in using Lloyd's management systems (e.g., DCOM, DAM, Lineage, Crystal) and advanced Excel skills.
