I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client, a renowned company at the forefront of IT infrastructure innovation. They are seeking a Senior Virtual Infrastructure Engineer to join their Virtual Infrastructure Services team.
This role focuses on managing, supporting, and evolving cutting-edge solutions, including Cohesity Backup, Dell ECS Archive Solutions, and advanced Converged/Hyper-Converged infrastructures. Responsibilities:
- Manage and support the Cohesity Backup and Dell EMC S3 platforms in a 24/7 production environment.
- Contribute to designing and implementing automation solutions to optimize infrastructure operations.
- Develop and maintain technology strategies and life-cycle plans for virtual infrastructures.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in daily service support tasks, including incident resolution, alerts, and change management.
- Support disaster recovery management (RDR, SWAP, LDR, etc.).
- Provide consulting services to OS teams (Windows, Linux, Office, Tandem, Mainframe) and internal stakeholders.
- Drive the organization's private cloud strategy and ensure alignment with business goals.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in service engineering or operations in large IT environments.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Cohesity in complex infrastructures.
- Expertise with Dell EMC S3 and VMware virtualization environments.
- Experience with Nutanix and VxBlock infrastructures is a strong plus.
- Passion for automation and DevOps, with experience in Ansible, PowerShell, or similar tools.
- Storage infrastructure knowledge is advantageous.
- Fluent in English (French or Dutch is a plus).
- Proven ability to work under pressure, adapt to fast-paced environments, and collaborate effectively in a team.
