A leading financial institution is seeking a skilled Machine Learning Operations Engineer to join their expanding Center of Expertise. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the modernization of data management and governance, and to enable cutting-edge advanced analytics use cases across various departments like Risk, Compliance, Marketing, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Empowering Data Scientists: Collaborate with data scientists to establish optimal project environments, including dependency management and providing project templates equipped with code quality and testing tools.
• Bridging the Gap: Act as a liaison between data science and IT teams, ensuring seamless integration of models into the production environment while adhering to strict quality standards.
• Production Champion: Take ownership of model deployment and monitoring, guaranteeing high performance and stability.
• Incident Management: Act as the first line of defense in case of incidents, identifying root causes, coordinating with relevant teams, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
• Innovation Driver: Continuously explore and implement novel approaches using existing tools to expand the capabilities of data scientists and drive AI adoption within the organization.
• Top-Level Communication: Present your work and insights directly to senior management, showcasing the impact of your contributions.

Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
  • Essential: Strong Python programming skills, experience with HTTP REST APIs, and proficiency in Git version control.
  • Essential: Experience in MLOps/DevOps practices, software testing, Linux operating systems, and containerization technologies (Docker, Podman).
• Education & Experience:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating strong knowledge of Programming, System Engineering, or DevOps.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, with at least 1 year focused on Data Science and Analytics.
• Soft Skills: Excellent teamwork, proactiveness, results-driven approach, strong communication and influencing abilities, analytical thinking, autonomy, commitment, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and multicultural environment.

Bonus: Familiarity with the financial services industry would be advantageous.
