Oliver James has partnered with a leading privately owned Asset Manager operating predominantly within the alternatives space to appoint a Senior Operational Risk Associate into the organisation due to continued growth within the organisation.
This position will report directly in the Head of Operational Risk and will afford the successful candidate an opportunity to have a lasting impact on the operational risk culture within the organisation.
The core responsibilities of this role will include the continuous management and embedding of the operational risk framework aligning the framework with product strategies while assisting with and maintaining the annual RCSA across the business. Along with the above you can also expect;
- participating in periodic updates of the ICAAP and maintaining the operational risk register
- production of risk reporting for various boards and committees
- Supporting the integration of esg into the existing framework
- supporting the DP on the implementation of operational resilience and business continuity frameworks
- Identifying control weakness and raising issues with associated findings.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years experience working within the Asset Management, Third Party Manco space and deep understanding of operational risk. Strong experience around AIFMs is advantageous. You will also have a strongly analytical mindset and feel comfortable working within an autonomous yet collaborative environment.
