Key Responsibilities:
- Drive System Excellence: Analyze, configure, and test financial programs to ensure precision and compliance with GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles.
- Solve Complex Problems: Troubleshoot system issues and document test results, working to resolve challenges in a timely manner.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with IT and other departments to ensure user needs are accurately captured and addressed.
- Enhance System Interfaces: Assist in the development and testing of seamless interfaces between various systems and databases.
- Optimize Processes: Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop Critical Documentation: Help create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, user manuals, and training materials.
Skills and Experience:
- Financial Systems Experience: Proven experience with financial systems is required, along with a strong understanding of system implementation and maintenance.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, especially in working with financial systems.
- Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of GAAP and/or Statutory Accounting Principles.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Organizational & Analytical Acumen: Exceptional organizational and analytical skills to manage and optimize financial systems and acprocesses.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency: Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office, with Advanced Excel skills strongly preferred.
- Bonus Skills: Experience with PeopleSoft Financials is a major plus.
