Vice President - Fund Accounting
Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Vice President - Fund Accounting to oversee and lead the management of a diverse portfolio of clients and related entities, primarily focusing on Private Equity Funds. The role involves driving operational excellence, ensuring client satisfaction, and contributing to strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and review the calculation of the fund's Net Asset Value (NAV) and performance metrics.
- Ensure timely generation and approval of investor capital account statements.
- Supervise and coordinate complex fund operations, including calls, distributions, and equalization processes.
- Approve and oversee bank payments and ensure alignment with client instructions.
- Lead the year-end audit process and review financial statements under IFRS or US GAAP.
- Foster collaboration with internal teams to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Drive process improvements, innovation, and consistency across the team.
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and managing escalations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the team, promoting professional growth and development.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, including anti-money laundering and regulatory requirements.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in fund accounting/administration, with leadership experience preferred.
- Strong academic background, with an accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CPA) highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
