Financial Controller

Amsterdam

The Financial Controller ensures the reliable and timely financial reporting ('financial accounting') for the Group to internal and external stakeholders within the financial accounting principles set by the parent company. and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Dutch GAAP, IFRS).

You are the first point of contact for the Group finance procedures and consolidation, with a functionally steering responsibility (Hierarchical responsibility resigns with the Director Finance & Control).

Key Result Areas

  1. Financial closing & reporting
    The financial controller oversees and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial closing and reporting. This includes the preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss) for both internal and external stakeholders while adhering to strict deadlines.
  2. Internal control and accounting procedures
    You are overall responsible for ensuring compliance with established accounting principles. You develop, implement, and maintain financial procedures and internal controls in alignment with industry standards and external regulations.
  3. Financial consolidation Cygnific Group
    You are responsible for establishing and maintaining the planning and control cycle and contribute to the preparation of annual reports. Additionally, you lead projects within the financial controlling domain, such as implementing financial consolidation functionality for the organization.

Your background

  • HBO+/University think and work level;
  • At least five years of experience in a controlling and finance position in a commercial and service oriented international business environment, of at least a medium sized company;
  • In-depth knowledge of salary administration;
  • Knowledge of Dutch tax rules and regulations;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office;
  • Good knowledge of SAP (or a comparable accounting system) is preferred;
  • Good knowledge of English (written and spoken) is essential, Dutch is preferred;
  • A Dutch work-permit is essential.

The offer

  • Competitive salary.
  • Initial one-year contract with the prospect of permanent employment.

  • Travel allowance of €0.19 per km (up to 50 km one way) or full reimbursement of public transport costs with an NS Business Card (including optional private use, deducted from salary).
