This is a central role situated within their Finance department, aimed at propelling the client's mission of delivering outstanding financial stewardship and facilitating comprehensive insurance solutions.
Role & Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive financial records in compliance with recognized principles such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) pertinent to the insurance industry.
- Execution of statutory reporting and adherence to regulations rendered by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) across both Life Insurance and Property & Casualty divisions.
- Ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis that aids executive decision-making.
- Facilitating internal and external audits, along with compliance checks, to enforce financial and regulatory standards.
- Guiding and supervising the accounting department, advocating for continuous improvement in all financial processes.
Key Skills
- Proficient in Statutory Reporting GAAP within the insurance sector.
- Expert knowledge in Life Insurance and Property & Casualty Regulatory Reporting as stipulated by NAIC.
