We are seeking a Director & Actuary - Programs to lead our commercial programs pricing team and serve as a foundational member of the actuarial function for a top tier commercial insurer. You will work in a dynamic, fast paced atmosphere and will have a direct impact on results. This is a high visibility role with responsibilities that include managing a small team and working with business partners.
- Provide strategic input and collaborate with business partners in product development and profitability management
- Initiate, organise, and lead the completion of actuarial analyses for the Commercial Property line, including delegation to others.
- Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained that allows another actuarial staff member to understand and recreate the work product.
- Collaborate with Claims, Underwriting, and IT to determine available data for actuarial analyses and reporting requirements.
- Manage, grow, and develop team members as appropriate and advocate for their continued development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another field with a rigorous mathematics background.
- ACAS or FCAS required
- At least 7 years of Actuarial Commercial Lines Pricing experience
- Experience managing or mentoring less experienced team members.
