Currently, they are seeking an Assistant Underwriter Engineering to join their Engineering department in Antwerp. This role provides excellent learning opportunities for junior candidates.

Function
The Engineering department specializes in policies such as "All Construction Risks" (CAR), "Erection and Testing" (EAR), "Machinery Breakdown," and control insurances. The team consists of 4 employees and handles underwriting, administration, production, and claims activities.

As an Assistant Underwriter, your tasks will include:

• Managing subscription policies and open covers.
• Analyzing risks, pricing them, drafting quotes, and following up until finalization, especially for "All Construction Risks" & "Ten-Year Liability" policies.
• Drafting or verifying policies and endorsements to ensure accurate documentation.
• Following up on settlement documents and entering data into systems.
• Managing premiums and ensuring accurate premium waivers.
• Structuring case files and maintaining accurate records.
• Handling administrative tasks and assisting with complex or international cases.
• Responding to customer inquiries and finalizing administrative correspondence.

Requirements

• A general Bachelor's degree or higher diploma with relevant case management or underwriting experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in Dutch and English (both spoken and written) is required.
• Fluency in French is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
