About the role:
A global leader in property and casualty insurance, delivering risk insights and innovative solutions is looking for an Actuarial Specialist to join their dynamic Personal Lines Pricing Team. This role is perfect for someone who is a technical subject matter expert and looking to become a thought leader for the actuarial department. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical actuarial acumen and skill set to design and implement new rating algorithms and improve pricing processes in the actuarial department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct actuarial projects while applying advanced actuarial methods to estimate expected loss, cash flows, and risk aggregations
- Lead pricing of new and existing products, collaborate with the Underwriting and Product team, and determine loss and loss expense reserve recommendations
- Complete research to ensure accuracy of calculations and analyses
- Drive stakeholder engagement, communicate complex analytic business concepts and content to Actuarial leadership and business partners
- Leverage extensive knowledge and experience with relevant tools, technologies, and techniques to perform analyses and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Lead the development of management reports used to monitor performance of company goals and objectives, review reports created by less experienced team members
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of pricing experience, with the majority in personal lines pricing
- Professional Designations: ACAS or FCAS
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a related field an/or commensurate work experience
- Proficiency in SAS, SQL; experience to Python and R is a plus
Location:
- Hybrid defined as three or more days per week in office.
